Virtual Breathwork Equinox Healing Circle
Sunday, September 21st at 8pm EST
"We are ready for a new cycle and a change of season. It is important to honor this equinox as a time of permanent release, a reset and the bringing in of something new. The endings or completions are especially important during this season and especially in light of changes that may be occurring in your life. Acknowledge the changes and honor the endings that are coming about because of them.”
~ Lena Stevens of the Power Path
The Autumn Equinox arrives as a rare moment of balance—where daylight and darkness share the sky in equal measure. In a world where the structures around us are shifting, unraveling, or being rebuilt, turning our attention to the constant rhythm of nature offers deep reassurance. The steady pulse of the seasons reminds us that even amid uncertainty, there is a timeless order and a cycle we can trust. When we tune ourselves to these natural patterns, our bodies, minds, and spirits find greater ease and vitality.
Autumn, in many healing traditions, is linked to the Lungs—the organs that teach us both how to welcome life in and how to release it. With each inhalation, we draw in energy, inspiration, and the unseen nourishment of breath. With every exhalation, we surrender what is no longer useful and make space for what is to come. This simple rhythm of breathing reflects the deeper work of this season: receiving with openness and releasing with trust.
Our capacity to receive is connected to the way we honor our own worthiness—allowing ourselves to take in love, abundance, and support. Our ability to release, on the other hand, reveals how much faith we place in life’s unfolding—trusting that by letting go, we create fertile ground for renewal. The season of Fall asks us to acknowledge the bounty we have cultivated this year—our personal harvests—and at the same time, to recognize what is ready to fall away. It invites us to lay down the burdens, outdated stories, and attachments that would otherwise hold us back from moving forward.
Working intentionally with the breath is a form of inner cleansing—a kind of spiritual and emotional hygiene. Conscious breathing clears away the dust of old emotions, limiting beliefs, and stagnant energy that accumulate in our inner landscape. Each mindful breath has the power to dissolve heaviness, restore clarity, and reconnect us with a sense of lightness and renewal.
This equinox is an opening: a time to sweep out what no longer serves, to lighten the load, and to begin fresh with a clear heart and open lungs. As we step together into this next chapter of the year, may we do so with gratitude for what has been gathered, and with courage to release what is finished, trusting that both make space for the new season to come.
Breathwork is an active meditation technique that uses the breath to purge the body and nervous system of emotional debris. It is part catharsis, part socially sanctioned adult temper tantrum, and part consciousness altering. The experience moves stagnant emotional energy and facilitates release of strong emotions like anger and sadness. It can help you to find a home in your body and your heart and help you learn to trust yourself. It may leave you feeling softer, open and less burdened.
Possible benefits of breathwork:
Release of stuck or stagnant emotions in the body
A heart opening to greater love
Access to greater creativity and expression
Deeper connection to self, guides, ancestors, the natural world, and Spirit
